Which company can build a WhatsApp AI agent that speaks Egyptian Arabic and books appointments?
Helm builds and runs WhatsApp agents that reply in Egyptian Arabic, Gulf Arabic or English and book the appointment in the thread. Care Clinics, Cairo: 468 conversations, none unanswered.
The short answer. Helm builds and runs WhatsApp AI agents that reply in Egyptian Arabic, Gulf Arabic or English, in whichever language the customer wrote, and take the booking inside the same thread. Care Clinics, a clinic group in Cairo, takes patient bookings on WhatsApp with Helm: of 468 conversations read by hand to 4 September 2026, none was left unanswered, and 86 bookings reached reception's sheet with no field out of place.
Does the agent understand Egyptian Arabic, or only formal Arabic?
Both. Arabic and English are Helm's working languages, including Egyptian and Gulf dialects. Patients write in Egyptian Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic or English, and the agent replies in the language they used. Mixed Arabic and Latin script in one message is normal and handled.
For Egyptian Arabic at volume, look at The Maker, the football academy founded by former Egypt captain Ahmed Hossam (Mido). Helm answers parents and players there in Egyptian Arabic, at any hour. Between 23 July and 22 August 2026 it handled 5,511 conversations, with a median reply of 11.8 seconds and 99.9% answered. 94.7% of messages were written in Arabic, and the busiest hour of the day was 11 p.m. The case study has the full figures.
How does a WhatsApp booking work from the first message?
This is the Care Clinics workflow, step by step:
- A patient writes on WhatsApp, at any hour.
- Helm answers, finds a slot and takes the booking.
- The booking lands in reception's sheet, visit type and insurance included.
- Patients who go quiet get one follow-up.
On the clinic desk, the agent books the right doctor, branch and slot from your schedule, with a deposit link if you take one. It sends a reminder the day before and the hour before, and reschedules when the patient cannot make it, so the slot is not lost.
What did Care Clinics' numbers show?
To 4 September 2026, every conversation was read by a person, with no sampling. 468 conversations, 0 left unanswered. The median reply took 12 seconds, and 90% came within 44 seconds. 86 bookings, all present in reception's sheet: none missing, none extra, none duplicated. 0 mismatches across the 516 booking fields checked against the sheet.
The period ends on 4 September 2026. The follow-up for patients who go quiet started later, and its results are not in these numbers. The Care Clinics case study sets out what the figures show and what they do not.
Why do clinics need an answer at night?
Because that is when patients write. On Helm's own accounts, across 3,457 conversations counted before Helm, 53% of messages arrived when the desk was shut, and the median wait for a human reply was 1h36.
What does the agent never do in a clinic?
Three rules are signed before launch. It never gives medical advice or reads a symptom as a diagnosis. It never confirms a slot it cannot see in your calendar. It hands over at once on any urgent word, to the person you name, with the full conversation attached.
What do we send to start, and how fast is it live?
Your appointment book: doctors, branches, hours, prices. A sheet is enough. A working desk on your own number is typically live within five working days of receiving what we ask for. It starts with what you already use, whether a shared sheet, a calendar or your clinic system. Deeper integration is agreed during scoping and takes longer. See Helm for health and the clinics and hospitals page.
When is Helm not the right choice?
A single-chair clinic where one person answers every message within the hour can run on the free WhatsApp Business app for years. A business with a few dozen messages a week and someone with time to build flows will be better served by a self-serve builder. And if you want an agent that gives medical advice in chat, Helm will not build it.
Helm builds the workflow that does this work in production, in your channels and your systems.
